[Update: May 25, 2024] Addressing FAQs regarding Beta Testing function on Xiaomi Community

To assist you and enhance your experience, we've compiled a list of FAQs addressing your most common queries. Check out the thread below for all the details.
Q1: How to enroll in the beta program?
If you want to enroll in the beta program, please follow the steps below:
- Open Xiaomi Community (app version needs to be 5.3.30 or higher).
- Change app region to Global (ME » Set up » Change region).
- Go to ME and then select Beta Testing.
- Tap on Recruiting test and then Apply. Please note that the function will automatically detect your device.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to get started.
Q2: Beta Testing function is not available on my Xiaomi Community app. How to solve it?
Beta Testing function has been launched on app 5.3.30, please go to your app store and upgrade the app to the latest version. Also, please note that the recruitment will start on the Global site first, you can switch by clicking: ME » Set up » Change region on the community.
Q3: The function is bringing up the "No data found" page. How can it be solved?
- Please check if your device has reached the EOL status. EOL models will not receive recruitment notice. Check Xiaomi Security Center: trust.mi.com/misrc/updates/phone.
- Recruitments for different models and versions are being conducted gradually. If your device has not reached EOL status and the beta testing recruitment you want is not available, please wait patiently.
Q4: I have opened the "Recruitment test" page but cannot apply (the "Apply" button is greyed out). How to solve it?
Please follow onscreen instructions and first answer the basic questions for the beta testing program (ME » Beta Testing » Recruiting test » Answer). After answering, come back to the "Recruiting test" page and try applying again. P.S. Please make sure you have scored more than 60 points in the recruitment test.
Q5: I'm already a Xiaomi ROM beta tester. Do I need to apply again?
We strongly suggest applying again through the latest method (see Q1). If you have registered and became a beta tester through the recruitment posts published in Xiaomi Community before, your beta testing permission will be retained for a period of time.
Q6: The Beta Testing function is showing "Approving". What should I do?
Please wait patiently until the internal team reviews your application and then decides to approve or denies the request.
Q7: How long do I need to wait to get the beta testing approval?
The application review process can take up to 2-3 days. Please note that the actual process time may vary depending on various factors.
Q8: How will I know if I was accepted for the beta testing program?
You will see a "Passed" button in the beta testing recruitment page, you can check on the community by clicking: ME » Beta Testing » Recruiting test. "My beta program" will show the testing program you opted into.
Q9: I had passed the recruitment test but did not receive any beta update. Why?
Passing the recruitment test does not mean you will receive a new beta update for your device right away, you will receive it when it's available, but sooner than the normal users.
Q10: How many beta programs can I join?
You can join up to five beta programs with one Xiaomi ID (excluding Xiaomi HyperOS AI testing programs). Please note registering for different OS versions i.e. Global, EEA for your device will be considered signing up for different beta programs.
Q11: How do I provide my feedback or get help if I'm having an issue with beta software?
Beta software can be less stable and some features might not work properly. If you run into an issue while using your device, please let the feedback team know so they can help fix it. Contact them via "Services & feedback" app (Settings » Services & feedback).
Q12: How to opt out of the beta program?
You can opt out of the beta program at any time and go back to the stable public version of Xiaomi ROM. Here is how you can unenroll your device:
- Open Xiaomi Community (app version needs to be 5.3.30 or higher).
- Change app region to Global (ME » Set up » Change region).
- Go to ME and then select Beta Testing.
- In the My beta program section, select your testing program. Tap the Exit button.
- You will be asked: Are you sure you want to exit the current beta testing? Select YES and confirm your action.
- A confirmation message will appear shortly, stating you "Exited from current beta testing".
P.S. You will stop receiving beta updates once you leave the program. If you want to sign up again, please see Q1.
