The Xiaomi Pad 5 is effective as a productivity tool for both work and the classroom. The Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 860 processor powers the device. The CPU has an Octa-core (1x2.96 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 4x1.78 GHz Kryo 485 Silver) and is paired with the GPU, Adreno 640. To add to the power, it comes with UFS 3.1 high-speed storage.

The UFS 3.1 brings three critical improvements over UFS 3.0. First, it has a Write Booster, an SLC non-volatile cache that amplifies write speed. Second, a new UFS device low power state called DeepSleep targets lower-cost systems that share UFS voltage regulators with other functions. Finally, a Performance Throttling Notification allows the UFS device to notify the host when storage performance is throttled to a high temperature.

With the flagship 7nm process technology, LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage performance have been massively improved. The processor will always be one step ahead when watching videos, playing games, or surfing the Internet. Boosts operation speeds, significantly decreasing loading times and facilitating multitasking. In addition, the reduced power consumption will improve and extend battery life.
